In short: JellyCut has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Only two things ever leave your device: an anonymous crash report if the app crashes (Sentry, EU region), and the data needed to validate your purchase (Apple and RevenueCat). We do not sell or share data with anyone for advertising.

No account, no tracking, no ads
You do not sign up or log in. The app contains no advertising, no analytics or advertising SDKs and no cross-app or cross-device tracking. It does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and never shows an App Tracking Transparency prompt, because there is nothing to ask permission for. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
What stays on your device
- Free-play time (iOS Keychain). The app stores a single number: how many seconds of the three-minute free play you have used. It is kept in the iOS Keychain so that deleting and reinstalling the app does not reset the free play. Because of how the Keychain works, this number can remain on the device after you delete the app; it is removed when the device is erased. It contains nothing about you and never leaves the device.
- Unlock flag (UserDefaults). The app remembers whether the full version is unlocked, so that the purchase screen does not flash up for paying players before the purchase status has been confirmed. This flag is deleted together with the app.
Both entries are strictly necessary to provide the app as you requested it (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). What you do with the fruit — grabs, cuts, pieces — is not stored or sent anywhere.
Purchases: Apple and RevenueCat
The full version is a one-time in-app purchase. Apple processes the payment through the App Store; we never receive your name, your Apple Account, your payment details or your address. Apple’s privacy policy applies: apple.com/legal/privacy.
To validate the purchase and make it restorable, the app uses the SDK of RevenueCat, Inc. (USA). RevenueCat receives:
- an anonymous app user ID, randomly generated by the SDK on first launch and not linked to your identity;
- the App Store receipt and transaction data of the purchase (product, transaction ID, purchase date, price, currency, storefront country);
- basic technical information needed for the request: device model, iOS version, app version, language setting, and — as with any internet connection — your IP address.
No names, email addresses, location data or advertising identifiers are sent. The data is used only to confirm the purchase and to restore it (“Restore Purchases”), not for advertising or profiling. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the purchase contract). RevenueCat processes the data on our behalf in the USA; the transfer is safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in RevenueCat’s data processing agreement (Art. 46 GDPR). Crash reports: Sentry (EU region)
If the app crashes, a technical crash report is sent to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), stored in Sentry’s EU region (Germany). A crash report contains:
- the type of error and the stack trace, i.e. where in the app’s code the crash happened;
- app version and build, device model, iOS version, and the device’s memory and storage state at the time of the crash;
- the time of the crash and a random installation ID generated by the Sentry SDK, which lets us tell whether one crash hit one device or many. It is not linked to you, your Apple Account or any advertising ID.
The SDK also sends an anonymous signal when a session starts and ends, so we can see what share of sessions end in a crash. Sending personal data is switched off in the SDK (sendDefaultPii = false); screenshots, view hierarchy and performance tracing are disabled. Sentry deletes reports automatically after the retention period of our plan (at most 90 days). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in finding and fixing crashes. Where Sentry’s US parent company or sub-processors can access data, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses apply. Sentry’s privacy policy: sentry.io/privacy.
This website
jellycut.werle.app is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., USA). The site sets no cookies, loads no external fonts or scripts and uses no analytics. When you open a page, GitHub necessarily processes technical access data (IP address, time, requested page, browser information) to deliver it and to protect the service; GitHub may store the IP address in its logs for security purposes. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in a secure, reachable website. Transfers to the USA are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. If you email us, we use your address and message only to answer you and delete the correspondence when it is no longer needed (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).

Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Because we have no account and no way to identify you, we usually cannot link any data to you without your help — if you contact us, we will do what we can. For payment data, please contact Apple. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one where you live or the one responsible for us: Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW).
Children
JellyCut does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If the app or this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date.
